Hillside and Slope Planting

Do you have a challenging slope or hillside? Determining whether you use a STEPABLE Creeping Perennial
or a full size All-Terrain Ground Cover will depend on how steep an area you actually have and how fast you need it to fill in.

Look below to see which plants would be the best for your area.

STEPABLE Creeping Perennials

All-Terrain Ground Covers
Using STEPABLE Creeping Perennials on slopes can create living works of art in your landscape. Carpet any area where bark or mulch would normally be used, but may wash away off with regular rainfall.

STEPABLE Creeping Perennials have an average spread rate of 4-12" a year, depending on the plant.

All-Terrain Ground Covers perform perfectly on large hillsides where maintenance is difficullt and water runoff needs to be kept in check.

All-Terrain Ground Covers have an average spread rate of 6"-24" a year, depending on the plant.

STEPABLE Creeping Perennials are fantastic for planting larger slopes. Each plant will hug and creep tightly to the ground, holding soil in and keeping weeds out.      All-Terrain Ground Covers are perfect for those steep hillsides that require erosion control on a large scale and maintence is difficult.

STEPABLE Creeping Perennials work very well on smaller scale slopes where adding bark or much year after year is cost prohibitive.   All Terrain Ground Covers are great on large scale slopes where color and contrast are needed to bring about an element of interest.
