Attractive STEPABLE with blue-gray foliage looks good all year. Creamy flowers mature to tan spikes in summer. Great color over flower bulbs, spilling over retaining walls or surrounding evergreen shrubs. Flower heads will attach to clothing or paws. Cut off if undesirable.

*Note: This plant's bloom is a bur... which means it will attach itself to clothing, paw pads and gloves. So please keep that in mind if you have little ones or four legged friends. It is totally worth growing, and if the burs are an issue, simply cut them off when they emerge.

Tips from Fran

This Aceana is one of the first plants I ever grew. I love its steel blue color. It seems to be most content in great draining soil and roams happily when given the room.


*Note: This plant can be kid and dog friendly if burs/bloom is cut off before it is allowed to go to seed.
