Sedum album Baby Tears Stonecrop

SEDUM ALBUM BABY TEARS STONECROP

Sedum album chloraticum

Baby Tears Stonecrop  DROUGHT-WISE

This Sedum album is an absolute gem! Baby Tears Stonecrop has teardrop-shaped succulent green leaves that form a tight green carpet on the ground. Then it turns a fantastic shade of red with the autumn chill. Sedum albums have wirey white flower spikes in summer and can easily be walked on. This Stonecrop is great for dry rock garden paths, or spilling over banks and rock walls, but also quite useful in shady areas as well. Sharp drainage is a must. Over watering will impair growth.

Garden Tips from Fran

Sedum Baby Tears came to me years ago from a friend. I have had this Stonecrop in all of my landscapes whether it was on a path, in a woodland setting or next to a fence. It isn’t the most amazing plant, but a superb choice for difficult areas as it can cross between sun and shade very nicely.

It is quite Drought Tolerant/Drought-Wise and will give you years of pleasure in your garden.

Cute for Fairy Garden Floor!

**Many of our plants are listed as Not a Good Fit for Kid Traffic/Dog Traffic/Around Pools.

These plants will work fine around these spots. However, please keep in mind that many people (and animals) have allergies to bees or fragrances. While the plants may work perfectly in the area that you have determined, blooms may need to be sacrificed, or a different plant may need to be determined in order for the area to be used free of concern.
